FLASH: Claims Submission Deadlines Extended Due to Flooding

As of January 6, Governor Rauner has declared the following Illinois counties state disaster areas after significant flooding.

Health insurance issuers, like Health Alliance, must implement a moratorium on cancellations and non-renewals issued on or after December 29, 2015, until February 29, 2016, for affected members. This extension also covers provider claims submissions. Please still aim to get claims in as quickly as possible, but we understand there may be delays for provider offices in the affected counties.
