We launched a new resource we hope you’ll share with your patients. HealthAlliance.org/LearnMore helps people understand health care reform and the basics of health insurance.

It features Health Insurance 101 videos that explain terms health care consumers should understand. It also has information about public and private exchanges and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Because of the ACA, many people will be shopping for health insurance for the first time. They need a place to learn more from a company they can trust. If your patients have questions about health care reform or about shopping for coverage, direct them to the site, HealthAlliance.org or have them call us at 1-888-382-9771.

The Learn More portion of our website also includes important information for current individual plan members to learn how their coverage is changing for 2014.

New Claim Form for ICD-10 Reporting

The National Uniform Claim Committee has approved the Version 02/12 1500 Insurance Claim Form (1500 Claim Form) that will be used for ICD-10 reporting. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid will begin accepting the 1500 Claim Form on January 6, 2014, and the new form will be required starting April 1, 2014.
