FLASH: Health Alliance Prior Authorization Changes for 2024
October 17, 2023Each year, Health AllianceTM performs a comprehensive review and analysis around services needing prior authorization. In our last review cycle, we removed prior authorization around ultrasound, oxygen therapy, non-urgent ground ambulance and select DME items.
Health Alliance will add vascular intervention services to our Standard Prior Authorization list effective January 1, 2024. Requests for these services should be submitted for review to eviCore healthcare using our established workflow through our portal. Requests with dates of service after January 1, 2024, can be created beginning on December 18, 2023.
As your trusted partner, we are committed to evidence-based clinical guidelines that help ensure optimal clinical outcomes and value for your patients and our members. The eviCore guidelines can be found here.
