FLASH: Sequestration on Medicare plans will be turned back on.

Sequestration on Medicare plans will be turned back on again, starting with dates of service of April 1, 2022. This coincides with the Federal CMS announcement that they, as well, were turning this back on. Here’s the important information:

• Starting with April 1, 2022 dates of service, there will be a 1% deduction made on claims for Medicare plans.
• Starting with July 1, 2022 dates of service and later, there will be a 2% deduction made on claims for Medicare plans.
