URGENT Announcing New Claims Clearinghouse

With the recent cyberattack at Change Healthcare, we’ve been working diligently to get another option in place for providers to submit claims.  We are glad to announce that we can now accept claims through Availity.  The new clearinghouse just became active late yesterday afternoon.

Some important things to note with this change in clearinghouses:

  1. There is no change in payor IDs.
  2. All clearinghouses/trading partners have been notified by Availity that claims for Health AllianceTM and Health Alliance NorthwestTM can be submitted to them and then be delivered to us. This transition should be seamless to providers, but you can reach out to your claims clearinghouse to confirm claims are now moving to Availity.
  3. For claims that were eligible for submission on February 21, 2024, or later, we are granting a 30-day timely filing extension on those claims to be submitted to us.
  4. All claims that were submitted to us on February 21, 2024, or later may need to be resubmitted. If your claims clearinghouse has already sent claims to Availity, then we will receive them.  We have not received any claims from Change Healthcare since February 20, 2024, so we recommend checking with your claims clearinghouse to know where claims may be and if they will need to be resubmitted or not.
  5. If you need to resubmit claims, do NOT submit them as corrected claims. If you submit corrected claims that do not have any corrections, they will automatically pend and not auto-adjudicate, causing claims processing delays.

** Please note, it may take up to 10 days for us to receive the backlog of claims from Availity. **

If you use Change Healthcare as your claims clearinghouse, we continue to work with them to implement a new clearinghouse option, referred to as iEDI (Intelligent Electronic Data Interchange).  We will communicate with providers when that option is available in the coming days.

We continue to explore payment solutions for our providers and have multiple options we are working toward implementing.  When we have one of these options available, we will communicate that to our providers as soon as possible.
