URGENT Flash: Claim Payments via Zelis

We are pleased to announce that payments to Providers via Zelis will start this week. Payments will be made via paper check and remittances. The checks and remittances will come together to Providers in one envelope/package. This week’s payments are expected to begin mailing by April 5.  Electronic payments and 835 files will be available in the coming weeks.

If you are already part of the Zelis Payments Network/ACH+ and currently receive electronic payments from them, Zelis will transfer you to electronic payments from our claims and no action is needed from you. You will start to receive electronic payments when they become available in the coming weeks.

If you would like to continue receiving paper checks and remittance advices, no further action is needed on your part.

Providers can sign up now to receive electronic payments and 835 files from Zelis by using this link: Zelis EFT.ERA/Registration. Turnaround time will be as fast as 48 hours to convert to electronic payments.

Please answer ‘No’ to the first question as there will not be a registration code provided. You will then be taken to the registration page on an unbranded site. You will need to complete the registration for each Tax ID that you submit claims for.

There should be no cost to providers to receive EFT and 835 files from Zelis for payments from Health Alliance.  There is an optional program that you may see or hear about called ACH+ that Zelis offers. That will give you access to 450+ payers’ remittance files in a single portal. To enroll in ACH+, contact Zelis at (855) 496-1571. There is a cost associated with the optional ACH+ program.

We will be working to get providers caught up over the next 2-3 weeks. We plan to release payments from the February 19 check run first and then work through claims as they were received. We will increase payment frequency during this period to expedite getting claims payments current.
