eviCore Closed in Observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Our preauthorization vendor, eviCore, will be closed Monday, January 20, 2020, in observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Similarly to other holidays, cases can be initiated on the web, but eviCore call centers will be closed.
Beginning January 1, 2020 Health Alliance members can seek services at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. This includes individual and employer group products. The contract between Health Alliance and Sarah Bush continues for the Health Alliance Medicare Advantage plans as well.
Feedback gathered during Altruista training indicated that system limitations could cause delays in care. Health Alliance took this feedback seriously and worked with Altruista to develop a plan to eliminate identified barriers. The transition to Altruista will occur on March 1, 2020 when all system updates are available.
As It Relates to You Planned Elective Inpatient (IP) Admissions As a reminder, elective Inpatient (IP) procedures or surgeries need to be preauthorized by admitting physicians. Also, hospitals still need to notify Health Alliance of a planned elective IP admission within 24 hours.
